Nowadays many teachers prefer to use the PowerPoint in their lessons,

though the research indicates that this may be slightly more effective in terms of student achievement.

Many of my teachers use this way to transfer the knowledge to us as students. As I student I prefer this way to receive the knowledge from the teacher because I cannot concentrate if the teacher only talk without showing any thing and  also without it our minds will be away from what he/she is talking about .

. PowerPoint is one of the technology ways that I know to do before I taking this course because it is very easy to do but when the doctor introduce this topic in the lecture I was thinking that I will be bored in the class because I know how to make PowerPoint and it is not new for me but the thing that I am not expected that the lecture adds to me many things that I don’t know because I think that making PowerPoint just writing on the slides without considering the other things. For example, the lecture added to me how many lines should be in each slide , how to make the colours and also how to add the pictures. I am really benefit a lot from the lecture and these days I am trying to apply these things in my PowerPoint.

Many teachers use this way in their lectures because they think that the PowerPoint has many benefits to them as teachers and to their students too. Some of these benefits are that the PowerPoint attract the student attention  through speaking loudly , providing an interesting visuals and a title slide that can attract their attention and keep them interested. This sometimes will depend on the presentation itself if it is interactive or not. From all of this, using this tool in education will enable students to construct their creative presentations to their assignments and projects.

In addition using the PowerPoint by teachers can help the teachers to remember what they want to say on their lectures by writing key points on the slides.

So , through the use of presentations the teacher him/herself will be creative in using this tool by adding activities or quizzes. In addition , as a student I prefer this tool when it be used by the instructors because the presentation will be well organized and also encourages us to work with teams through making projects.

I am thinking to use this tool with the children in the future because children’s attention span is short so , I want to gain their attentions and this will be by using more pictures , few words, more colors   and more activities.

All in all , the PowerPoint become the focus of many teachers especially at universities and colleges but unfortunately they are not using it in the schools although I believe it will be more effective for school students to increase their academic performance , to increase their desires to learn and to keep them interested. As a result I recommend  the teachers to use the PowerPoint with their students at school.

On the other hand, I don’t prefer the PowerPoint that will be used by the instructor that use more text per slide or the poor multimedia like poor animation this will not motivate learning and even concentrating. I mean that we want to use this tool we have to think how to make it more attracting in order to be more motivating.



One tool of presentation that can be used is the prezy:

Even I face difficulty in the way of making the perzy at the first time but  I really like this technology way because it simplify the learning when we do it for the children especially that it

forces the teacher to use many pictures that allow the child to understand more better   

A prezi is a presentation of text and visuals that you zoom in and out of. It is very similar to a power point, except you do not make slides. Instead, you make one big prezi and zoom in to different. views

It is a new tool for me and it is very easy tool that be used as new tool instead of using power point

I learn from this video how to make an effective PowerPoint and I can end from this video that the PowerPoint will be only effective if we know how to do it and if we know how to present it because just reading from the slides cannot be effective tool at all
