The
lecture of interactive white board was very beneficial for me because not only add for me something
but teach me something new that I never know before especially that the doctor
show us how to use it and how to make
some programs like active inspire , so at the end of this course I know how to make active inspire and how to
use it especially we apply it before in
groups. Although it is very beneficial , useful and new tool for me but
I don’t like it because I found many difficulties before I know how to do it
On the other hand when I watch some videos about active inspire I notice that most of the children are engaging learning by it and through my reading I found that children can learn more through using this tool and they feel that like they achieve something that make them happy about every thing they do so this will change my opinion about using this tool with the children in the future because the thing that I wish is to gain their attention and increase their performance and thses can be achieved through using this tool..
What does research said about the interactive white board
Marzano recently divided 85 educators into two groups: One taught a lesson to students using interactive whiteboards and the other taught the same lesson using standard, more traditional tools. His data was undeniable:
- Of those classrooms employing the boards and using the voting technology, there was an immediate increase of 17 percent in scores.
- He also found that if a teacher had been given 20-30 months to hone his or her skills, there was an average 20 percentile gain.
- The sweet spot, he says -- the perfect storm of student achievement, according to his findings -- was when a teacher was trained to use the technology, had used it for two years, and did so 75 percent of the time. That profile shows a whopping 29 percentile gain in scores
